Julia’s first experience with clay was through a japanese artist based in Campo Grande, BR. “Clay has always been something that has inspired me, and learning coiling and slab techniques peaked my curiosity to try wheel throwing”. She opened and operated River Ceramics studio in Chatham NJ where she practiced and taught aspiring clay artists of all ages.
