Clay

My first experience with clay was through a japanese artist based in Campo Grande, BR. Clay has always been something that has inspired me, and learning coiling and slab techniques peaked my curiosity to try wheel throwing. I mostly enjoy making delicate pieces to use in the home. I also enjoy making mobiles as well as beads which I incorporate into textiles or paintings.

I opened and operated River Ceramics studio in Chatham NJ where I practiced and taught aspiring clay artists of all levels. Now, I prefer to focuse on my personal projects while teaching private lessons our of my studio and “Freestyle Ceramics” to students at Satellite Studios in Mars Hill, NC.
